Share the blocked fixture type and any backflow signs
When calling Galata Tesisat, specify whether the blockage is in a kitchen sink, washbasin, shower, standard toilet or wall-hung toilet. Wall-hung toilets requiring removal and refitting and shared main lines have different starting prices.
Tell the crew whether water returns through other drains and whether any chemical opener was used. Where work on the shared building line may be needed, arrange access to shared areas with building management beforehand.
Outflow verification, camera limits and pipe damage
After clearing the blockage with mechanical equipment, we run water to verify flow; camera use required for the job is included in the agreed unblocking fee. However, narrow floor drains, tight S-bends or collapsed sections may block camera passage.
If a broken pipe, collapse, hard foreign object or hardened scale prevents mechanical clearing, the agreed unblocking fee applies and we quote separately for repair. Drain washing for grease buildup in suitable lines is a separate maintenance scope.
One drain or a shared line?
Is the blockage in one drain only, or in several drains at the same time? This decides both the method and the starting price. A single drain and a shared line joining the kitchen, washbasin and shower are priced separately; the prices are in the fees section below.
Any camera inspection needed for the unblocking, and the necessary removal and refitting of the toilet concerned, are included in the agreed price, within the limits of physical access and technical suitability.
If wastewater keeps rising from the floor drain
If wastewater comes up through the floor drain while no water is being used, the problem may not be in the flat’s own line. In a flat on the lowest floor of a building in Hamidiye, Kağıthane, the drain machine cable moved freely towards the inspection chamber, but the overflow continued. When we opened the chamber cover, it was completely full of wastewater. We referred the customer to İSKİ; İSKİ crews carried out the necessary work and the backflow stopped.
A cleared drain is not a clean drain
In a second-floor kitchen in Dikilitaş, Beşiktaş, we cleared the blockage with a drain machine and then looked with a camera: there was heavy grease build-up on the inner pipe wall. Clearing the blockage does not mean the grease has been removed. We recommended washing the drain line under a separate quote; the customer was moving soon and declined, and we charged only for the unblocking we had done.
Relevant fee conditions
Daytime starting prices are 3,000 TL for a kitchen sink, washbasin or shower; 3,500 TL for a standard toilet; and 4,000 TL for a wall-hung toilet including necessary removal and refitting. Kitchen, washbasin or shower main lines start at 4,500 TL; toilet main lines at 5,500 TL.
A collapsed pipe, large hard object, hardened scale or obstruction in public infrastructure may resist mechanical unblocking. In such cases, the full initially agreed unblocking fee applies. We quote separately for any repair.
Tell us about two independent blocked lines during your call. If a second independent job emerges on site, we explain the additional price before starting. We may offer to credit the unblocking fee against a repair quote for that job; this is not an automatic discount.
Daytime prices apply from 06:00 to 00:00. From 00:00 to 06:00, a 50% surcharge applies to the daytime price. Daytime prices also apply during daytime hours on weekends and public holidays.
Checking the work and repeat blockages
If the crew is still at the property and the original obstruction has not been fully cleared, we continue without an extra unblocking fee. A new call for a blockage after the completed work has been tested is chargeable. We do not guarantee that a line will never block again.
For a suitable pipe with grease or restricted flow, we may suggest drain washing as separate maintenance. We agree the scope and price first. Washing does not repair cracked, broken or collapsed pipes.
Stop using an overflowing drain before the visit. Tell the crew which chemical drain opener you used and when. If a shared line may be involved, arrange access with the building manager.

What does the unblocking fee include?
